12 Say to the people of Israel, "If any man's wife goes astray and acts unfaithfully against him, 15 then the man shall bring his wife to the priest . . . 18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and unbind the hair of the woman's head . . ." ( Numbers 5:12-18 )

18 [ Tamar ] was wearing a [ non-multi-colored ] full-length gown robe with long sleeves; for thus were the virgin daughters of the king traditionally clad. So his servant put her out, and bolted the door after her. 19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and tore the full-length long-sleeved gown which she wore; and she laid her hand on her head, and went away, crying out loud as she went. 15 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well. 16 Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets? 17 Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you. 18 Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, 19 a lovely deer, a graceful doe. How graceful are your FOOTSTEPS in sandals, royal maiden! YOUR rounded thighs are like jewels, the work of a master hand. ( Song of Solomon 7:1 )

YOUR head crowns you like Carmel, and YOUR [ mopheaded ] flowing locks are like purple; a king is held captive in the tresses. ( Song of Solomon 7:5 )

so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians captives and the Ethiopians exiles, both the young and the old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. ( Isaiah 20:4 )

Look at your way in the valley; know what you have done: a restless young camel crossing her tracks, 24 a wild ass used to the wilderness, in her heat sniffing the wind! Who can restrain her lust? None who seek her need weary themselves; in her month they will find her. 25 Keep your feet from going unshod and your throat from thirst. They were well-fed lusty stallions, each neighing for his neighbor's wife. ( Jeremiah 5:8 )

She did not give up her harlotry which she had practiced since her days in Egypt; for in her youth men had lain with her and handled her virgin bosom and poured out their lust upon her. ( Ezekiel 23:8 )

3 This is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from unchastity; 4 that each one of you know how to possess a wife for himself in holiness and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust like heathen who do not know God; 6 that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we solemnly forewarned you. 7 For God has not called us for uncleanness, but in holiness. 8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you. ( 1st Thessalonians 4:3-8 )

9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the non-righteous under punishment until the Day of Judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and wilful, they are not afraid to revile the glorious ones, ( 2nd Peter 2:9-10 )

16 All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever. ( 1st John 2:16-17 )
